ASTRID THE SPY FLY – a short film

This animated film was produced in collaboration with the production company Bloody Honey in Malmö. The seven-minute film is based on one of the books about Astrid the Spy Fly and premiered in May 2021.

"Astrid the Spy Fly sits by a window, dreaming of the world outside. Her little sister Zazza—whom Astrid promised to look after—has suddenly vanished! We follow Astrid’s search through a fly’s-eye view of a kitchen—a space that is truly gigantic to her. Where is Zazza? The hunt takes her through the Big Holes, past the Candy Bag, and over the Black Shaggy Thing. (To us humans, these are recognizable as a delicious cheese, a stinking compost bag, and the family’s shaggy pet.) Will Astrid find Zazza? Or perhaps discover the place she has always dreamed of?"
